My Mission
Welcome to gold-api.com! I created this website because I'm a software engineer who loves to make things fast. I also love to invest in safe-haven assets. I needed an API to return gold prices quickly, and while searching the internet for a gold price API, I ran into roadblock after roadblock, including unreliable APIs, pricing obstacles, inconsistent data, and more.
Since I needed this website for my own internal tools, I decided to share this data at no cost to help other people in similar situations. There are no API keys, no pricing, no credit cards required — just a reliable service.
How can I offer this for free? It turns out that I have extensive experience developing real-time APIs from my years in software engineering. I know how to build resilient APIs that can handle immense amounts of traffic without slowing down.
